Happy Sunday, Journeyer!
I spent much of this past week in meetings; a mandatory gathering for my regular job and a few meetings with potential clients.
Outside of those functions I was doing what a girl does when she’s feeding her joy.
Good food.
Good friendship.
I finally connected with a friend, after trying all summer to meet-up. We visited a favorite healing crystals store and then took a beautiful country drive to another quaint little town’s farm market, where we watched the sun set from a bench along an inlet.
Another day I went to lunch with a different girlfriend and then we followed up delicious meals with manicures and pedicures.
Oh, and to combat all of the sitting I’ve been doing while fine-tuning our website information and our services we offer, I enjoyed a scheduled massage and an adjustment from the chiropractor.
I’m so grateful for both of these practitioners in my life for they help keep me feeling fresh and pain free! They help put me back together after I’ve demanded a great deal from my body.
These events were thoroughly delightful, but equally measurable were the quiet moments I spent in meditation or enjoying breakfast on our enclosed deck that looks out over the flourishing hillsides.
Listening to the grasshopper and cricket song, as well as the ever changing music that sounds out from my wind chimes also fills me with peace.
I even took the time to go sit and write in one of our fields. The setting sun, gentle breeze on my face, and the pretty wildflowers spread out all around me were huge bonuses that filled me with peace.
One of the most mesmerizing and yet funny things that happened this week came when I stepped out of my shower one morning and noticed the landscape outside the bathroom window.
I’m usually in such a hurry that I don’t pay attention, but this week I was grateful for the view that I often ignore or take for granted.
Recognizing the beauty that is right under our nose is what feeding our happy is all about, Journeyer.
Just like the proverbial shit happens, happy happens…who would have thunk that happy can even happen in the shitter?
I’m also excited to share that I submitted an article to another online blog, the owner of which reached out to me after reading my Tiny Buddha piece, 5 Reasons You Feel Alone (and How to Change That.)
I am honored to be able to do the work I do and to share my stories and healing strategies with you.
I’ll keep you posted about this new collaboration!
Today Warren and I made a few hours trip to be part of a small family reunion, so for now, I’m going to sign off and go enjoy a hot tub soak beneath a starlit sky.
I love reading your stories! What happy moment(s) did you meet up with this week?
Sharing is one of the best ways to spread happiness. Share something in a comment below?
Until we meet again, yours in hope, healing, and happiness,

Not that your posts were darker before – but I’m so happy to see how very much light is coming out of them in the last little bit. It feels like you’ve finally found your place Annah. I’m so happy for you.
Thank you, Liv. This comment almost makes me giddy because, yes, I think I’ve finally figured out what I want to be and do when I grow up! The fact that the joy and passion for that work is shining through is like the perfect topping!
Together we are navigating our futures and I, too, am happy and honored to witness your emerging self.
Hugs, Neighbor! <3
